On Rita’s last day in Thailand, we got up early and took a ferry to Wat Arun.

I was excited for a another adventure

The two guardians are traditionally identified as:

Thotsakan: The green guardian, associated with the demon king Ravana from the Ramayana epic.
Sahatsadecha: The white guardian, another powerful figure from the same epic tradition.

There was an incredible collection of bonsai trees

It sits on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River in the center of Bangkok

Wat Arun, commonly known as the Temple of Dawn, is one of Bangkok's most famous landmarks.

The temple dates back to the fall of Ayutthaya in 1767 and played an important role in Bangkok's early history.
