Yesterday, we spent most of the morning at the bank setting up our bank accounts, which are required to obtain our visas to stay in Thailand. We also heard from our real estate agent that we will receive our apartment keys on Friday, July 3. Everything is moving quickly.

After all of our trips to Japan, Glenna never had omurice until now.

The next morning, we were on the train headed for the Chao Phraya River

Talat Noi is on the edge of Chinatown, and one of the oldest districts in Bangkok

When we got back to our hotel room, we were done for the day.

After the morning banking, we had lunch with our visa agent from Thailand Blueprint. Fah was wonderful, and we would not have been able to complete the process without her.

After lunch, we took a Grab to One Bangkok, a three-tower mall

It was pretty quiet on a Wednesday afternoon.

The size and grandeur were a bit overwhelming. We will make plans to start our day there.

By the time we got back to our train station, it was very hot and raining

The city’s transportation system (trains, subways, buses and water taxis) makes getting around the city very easy. With the tuk-tuks and Grab, you are set for the city.

We hopped on the river ferry to Talat Noi.
