Bangkok is an extremely large city with a population between 13 and 17 million residents. Geographically, it is a bit over 606 square miles. There are several major parks, with Benjakitti and Lumphini being the most prominent. Within the last couple of months, the city has connected these two parks with a walking/biking skyway over the city. We can now walk or ride our bikes across and over the city without any traffic. It is very popular and busy, especially on the weekends and in the evenings. We are within walking distance of “The Green Mile” and took advantage of it this morning

Walking over the old homes and roads on our way to Lumphini Park

Entering into Lumphini Park from our walkway above

It was a Saturday morning, and there were literally thousands of runners and walkers. People can leave their backpacks and belongings on the sidewalk, and no one will touch them.

Looking down on the roads and communities as we go.

One of the many entrances to the path. This one was from Benjakitti Park. It was a bit cooler this morning, in the mid-80s.

From end to end, the path is pretty close to a mile long and takes about 25 minutes to get from park to park.

Looking between two older homes

It is a beautiful park with several small lakes with fountains, paved walking paths, modern clean restrooms, and places to get drinks and food.

There is zero trash anywhere. It is Singapore clean.
